Erin Hyatt

Erin is a certified postpartum doula offering daytime support to new and growing families. Her goal is to empower new parents during this remarkable but vulnerable and often overwhelming time; and to instill confidence in parents that they are more than capable of surviving, caring for, and thriving with these tiny humans. Whether it’s holding your baby while you replenish yourself,  assisting to control the chaos while you bond with your baby; providing resources when you need additional support; or a heavy dose of all three; she would absolutely love to be a part of your village. 

Erin has been a family and newborn photographer for the last 7 years and it has meant the absolute world to her to be invited into the homes of her newborn clients during this stage of life. Newborn photography quickly became her favorite photography niche and because it’s this little bubble of time that is unlike any other time; this quiet (sometimes loud), and sacred space; a space that she realized that she wanted to spend more time in as a supportive role. Once the idea of becoming a postpartum doula came to her, it just seemed to click into place and make sense. 

As a mom of two preteen girls, she’s in a totally different stage of parenting now, but she still remembers her experiences as a mom to newborns vividly. So much of it she look back on fondly, but there are certainly plenty of moments that still are hard to reflect on. Those mostly revolve around times where she felt alone, isolated, or not in control. It wasn’t until she found a support system with an amazing group of women in the same stage of life as her that she really found her identity as a new mom. It is her goal as your postpartum doula that she help you gain confidence in your parenting role, to help find and utilize your village and support system, and help this transition be as positive an experience as possible. She provides a completely judgment-free zone and wants to help set you up for success, whatever that looks like to your family. 

In her spare time, she loves to read, play pickleball, and spend as much time as possible outside. Give her patio and a bowl of queso and she’s a happy lady.  In addition to her lovely girls, she lives with her husband and two pups in Cedar Park.
