Birth & Postpartum Doula
Hi, my name is Zoe. I am an ABG-trained postpartum doula with a Master’s degree in Integrative and Functional Nutrition and have been a registered yoga teacher specializing in pre and postnatal yoga for a decade with 500 hours of training. I first developed a passion for providing this important service to new moms after having three children of my own and no in-town family to support me.
As a postpartum doula, my main goal is to help people learn how to care for their new infant while maintaining their own self-care practices vital for complete mind/body healing. My Bachelor’s degree in philosophy, graduate degree in holistic nutrition, and yoga studies merge into a science-based approach to care that takes into account the individual’s unique needs. There is no such thing as being fully prepared to take on parenting, but my goal is to help you feel as prepared as humanly possible by honoring our inherent limitations, providing relevant research and education, and teaching you how to not sweat the small stuff.
I have lived in Austin, TX since 2005, but I am a Midwesterner born and raised. I spend my free time with my husband and three children, organizing and hosting community gatherings, dancing whenever possible, tending to my garden, and hiking in this beautiful city I love so much.
